Club Spotlight: Audition Classroom

Audition Classroom (AC) has been well-known not only by by their unique name, but also by their strong bond of friendship among their members and their influence in Audition. Being one of the most popular groups today, our student council has decided to pay a visit at one of their classes to see what their group is really all about.

AC started with one forum thread posted by Rekieduxx and Roggen more than a year ago, looking for an in-game couple. The thread was frequented by a lot of active Audition players, who became close friends soon after. It was then they started a new thread in the forum club section that served as their “tambayan,” thus, the creation of Audition Classroom. The name clicked too, since majority, if not all of the members were students. Not only that, the name signifies a sense of bonding and camaraderie among its members.

The enrollment for every school year starts everytime a new thread is created. Interested applicants for their group are required to submit the following requirements as listed in their current group thread. After receiving the application form, they’ll schedule the interested applicant in an interview. After passing it, they’ll include the applicant as a new member of their class.

After knowing a bit about AC, I asked a few questions about their group and how they view the world of Audition Ph.

Kasumi: How does your group differ from other Audition groups today?
MANAMAY: We don’t limit ourselves sa Audition world lang.
Jeryl: We are very active iRL (EB)!
Ubie: we’re unique since we have  unique bonding moments in our groups, through in-game, spams (text messaging), forums or IRL.
Summer: Kami yata ang may pinaka-wide range sa scope ng age; from the youngest to the youngest at heart.
Roggen: Actually international na ang AC, andyan ang aming sponsor na nag-aaround the world.
Err: I think the most unique part in AC is that… we make our own stories in which we are the characters and no matter what the outcome of the story is walang nasasaktan.

Kasumi: The whole Audi community views your group as something bound by not only the game you enjoyed, but also by the bond of friendship formed between each and every one of you. How do you establish and maintain such good characteristic in your group?
Jeryl: EB!
Summer: And GMs!
Ubie: Forum talks.
Roggen: I think the reason for that is that we share the same language game, be it moral or immoral.
Summer: AC field trip!
Elle: AC goes to Pampanga!
Jeryl: As in out of town, swimming.

Kasumi: Having five threads, not counting the ones in the old forums is a sign of how active AC has been ever since its creation. Setting aside the spams, what activities do you have in your club thread that keeps your members posting everyday?
Summer: I may say… proud ako sa mga roleplays ng AC.
Err: Yan yung most unique part, yung roleplays.
Summer: I also think it’s more of the bonding that we already established since our first EB.
Roggen: Roleplays and spams lang XD
Cloud9: And may theme din kami kada buwan.
Jeryl: And as simple as talking to each other, kamustahan, would be enough to post sa thread.

Kasumi: In the community, arguments and some misunderstandings may happen not only with other Audition groups, but among your members as well. How do you guys deal with such?
Elle: Hindi naman siguro nagtatagal mga arguements sa members XD
Summer: Hindi naman, naayos din naman yun.
Err: However, most of them lie-lowed in AC.

Kasumi: If ever there’ll be a group of the month and you get nominated, what will you do to make the whole Audition community know you’re worthy of the title?
Roggen: None! Kasi if we’re deserving, we don’t have to prove ourselves. If ever we are worthy, it’s because of our RP’s! It’s for them to check us out. Di namin kailangan pakita kung ano kami, sila ang dapat tumingin kung ano kami.
Pichu: Our bonding is the proof XD
Elle: Kung ano na kami ganun na kami.
Jeryl: Yeah, let our threads speak for us.
Ubie: As long as we have our bonds between us, we’re cool.
Pichu: I think it’s our bond that proves that we are deserving for that said title because without it, we may be nothing now.

Kasumi: If there’s one major problem in Audition Ph that needs to be fixed, what would it be?
Summer: Bot! TPP!
Jeryl: Botter.
Pichu: TPP.
Roggen: Payment sa ID!
Err: 20 seconds lag.
Cloud9: 60 seconds post.
Jeryl: Oh, and yung venue sa events.

Kasumi: With the number of your members increasing, ‘kasya pa ba kayo sa classroom?’ XD
Cloud9: Sobra pa po.
Summer: Di na, hindi na kasi pumapasok si teacher, di na kasi niya kayang ihandle ang dami ng students!
Ubie: May mga funds kami to make the classroom bigger. Hahaha joke! XD
Jeryl: Actually yung classroom namin kasinglaki ng school; school/classroom kasi siya.
Roggen: Oo naman! Syempre, Auditorium type ang classroom parang sa biology class, 300 ang max students!
Ubie: Since nag-EB kami, yung mall na yung naging classroom.

Kasumi: If you guys will grant the following titles to your fellow classmates, to whom will you give them?

Kasumi: Cafeteria food or baon?
Jeryl: None of the above. Yung pagkain sa labas. Hindi po masarap ang cafeteria food AT tamad kami magdala ng baon kasi aagawin ni Jay (lunchbox keeper)
Roggen: Yung treat ni Ayie!
Summer: Cafeteria kasi lagi kinukuha ng lunchbox keeper yung baon namin.
Apol: Baon. Laging kinukuha ni Jay eh, yung baon namin sya lagi tumitira.
Pichu: Baon kasi prepared yun ni Mame Elle ko.

Kasumi: Where and when will your next field trip be?
Err: Sa (March) 7! – next EB
Jeryl: Pag field trip, kung kelan bumalik si Ayie sa Pinas.
Elle: Wala pang (actual) date na naka set.

Kasumi: Describe Audition Classroom in one word.
Ubie: Unique!
Summer: Hot (dahil sa RPs)!
Err: Spectacular!
Oborosama: Camaraderie.
Kaera: Family.
